Halton Mayors Award

Open to all young people in Halton aged 10 – 13 years old. What is the Halton Mayor’s Award? The Halton Mayor’s Award is a bespoke programme of exciting challenges and activities for 10 -13 year olds in Halton. The Award is very similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme which has been particularly successful in Halton and in essence will be like a mini D of E programme. Halton Youth Provision is hoping to spread the love this week with Valentine goody bags for teens and young people in the area. Previous years have seen the staff running card or poetry competitions, but this year the team wanted to make sure that the love spreads to more than just a couple of lucky people and launched the goody bag give-away with the tag line:  ‘Let love be kind, keep safety in mind’. Duke of Edinburgh Award Sessions

We run Duke of Edinburgh Award sessions on Wednesday evenings at Crmz for Gold, Silver and Bronze levels. The sessions focus on preparing the participants for their expeditions and they work on problem solving, team work and leadership plus campcraft skills such as navigation, cooking, route planning and map reading.
